Most of you playing games as their hobby, to reduce the stress, when you get lazy. But do you know you can make money by playing games? The answer is YES. I am playing games as my hobby. My favourite game category is Sports. From sports, Football is my favourite game to play. Most of you know football is the most famous sport in the world and FIFA by EA sports and Pro Evolution Soccer also known as PES by Konami are the leading football video games right now. As a gamer, most of them watch YouTube to check gameplays, reviews and many more things.

I think for few weeks. Me and the YouTube gamers both are same. But the difference between them and me is they play the game and upload videos of the gameplay or stream on Youtube but I just play for fun. When I check their channel insights on social blade, they have a huge fan base and they are making so much money by just sharing their gameplay videos.

By checking further more, there are so many links in their YouTube video descriptions. When I click them and check what those links are, some of the links are affiliate links. Most of the affiliate links are redirect to Amazon and YouTubers are making money by recomending the tools, equipments and the PC they are using with an affiliate link.

Some of the links will redirect to their personal brands like merchs. They are making money by selling tshirts, caps, stickers and many more things.

After understanding all this circle, I thought how they convert their hobby and fun time to work and what kind of opportunity that missed for me. This is the start of my jurney.

Now you know what method I am using to make money as a gamer by playing my favourite game. Let’s start to discuss how you can do the same step by step.

YouTube is the second most famous search engine. If you use the right methods and work in the beginning, you can grow your channel super fast and become a well known YouTuber on the planet.

YouTube is the platform we are using to share our gaming experiecne to the people who are loving your gaming niche. As I said earlier you do not need super expencive equipments. You just need a skill to play games and an idea about the game.

Setup your channel correctly is an important task. Because this is the main platform for your business. You can find so many videos on YouTube that teach you on how to setup a brand new YouTube channel. In here, you have to consider some important things according to my personal experience.

  • Use a name that anyone can memorize easily.
  • Use a brand new email created with your channel name and add it as a contact detail.
  • Create an eye catching and memorable logo for your audience and create an eye catching but simple banner image.
  • Create a good channel description and add relavant tages to the channel.

After you creating your channel, you have to record your gameplay. You can record your videos either by showing your face or not. If you are shy to show your face to the audience, then it’s ok but if you can show you face to your audience, it is an advantage for you to create the trust between you and your audience and your channel awareness.

1.3.1 Interesting video

When you recording your video, always try to do it more interesting for your audience and try to keep them to the end. And show the popup of like and subscribe buttons and remind for your audience to like the video and subscribe to the channel few times. If your content is interesting, you do not need to force your audience to subscribe or likes. Therefore try to create your videos interested as much as you can.

My tips :

  • Check other channels and understand what are the things they doing to enjoy their audience
  • Think yourself as a viewer of your channel and identify what kinds of things will keep you watching the videos, put likes and subscribe to your channel and try to avoid things that make them lazy and put dislikes to your videos.

1.3.2 Thumbnail, Title and Description

Now your video is ready to upload to the channel. When someone come to YouTube, thumbnails and the title are the first things they see. Both these elements should be the hook for your video. If your video has an interesting title and eye catching thumbnail, viewers will click your video for sure.

When you go to a search engine and search something, all the search results will displayed with the things written in the Title and Description. Thousands of people are publishing their videos on YouTube and if you want to rank on the top of search results you should use right keywords that has high search volumes and less competition.

After you create your videos with best thumbnail and keywords, YouTube will drive organic traffic to your channel. But do not stop from there. Social media is a good place to get free traffic to your YouTube channel.


Create social media channels on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, Pinterest and Reddit with the same name you are using in your channel. And add all the links in the video description and remind your audience about your social media channels in the videos. When you publish a video on YouTube, put a post on all the channels about your new video. This will drive traffic for free to your channel.

First go to amazon associates (Amazon’s affiliate program) and join their affiliate program. Then find all the products from amazon and get your affiliate links. Then simply put those links in your desription and just remind about the tools you are using and tell about the links in the description. It’s that simple.

  • You can publish reviews for the tools and equipments. It will make extra trust for your audience.

I have found the best and free solution for this. There are so many platforms you can find to start a free metch brand. Redbubble and Merch by Amazon are some best examples for that. In here you just have to create a simple design and publish on different items and display on your stores. When someone buying it all the printing, packing and delivering works are done by the company and we will earn our comissions. This is the method I am using in my channel.
